I love when you write about Jamie. Grief becomes part of who we are. It changes us in so many profound ways. When I share hope, I always remember to share that the journey is long...but, I promise them that the darkness WILL lift...after all, that is how the light comes in again. There is no time stamp, but, the memories thankfully will flow again, the ones that bonded us forever to one another.

I love that your wrote about Inside Out! I think about this movie an absurd amount. Especially as a parent. When I’m trying to be present the fleeting, joyful moments with my kids I can almost see the memories being that mix of yellow and blue like I’m already sad the moments are going by so fast if that makes sense. On another note, I learned in therapy that there is a method that is somewhat similar to what is depicted in the movie called Internal Family Systems where you identify and relate to your individual “parts”. It’s really interesting! Anyway thank for this beautiful newsletter.
