Yeah, 100%. We have to be with it all. My struggle is generally with big waves of fear. Happened yesterday. I spent the first part of the day trying to push it away (no success). Then I finally gave in to tending to it, tending to myself as I would a stressed child and just being with it. It then passed and I was left with a small insight. I've learned so much from Tara Brach's teachings.
Thank you, Katie, for such a luminous essay & perfect photos capturing the lightness. A beautiful invitation to be more mindful of the shimmering moments all around, be more present to experience more lightness, & really breathe it in.
Thank goodness for the needed patch of lightness that this newsletter is.
Having just gotten back from a week away for yet another family funeral, these words are my hopeful break in the leaden monotony of transitioning to freelancing on Bambi legs against the background of toddlers and infants that dictate all family social spaces.
Thanks so much, Katie & Becca.
Part of my plan for deeper breaths will surely be committing to reading more than just the bills when they hit my inbox.

Big waves of fear is a huge struggle for me too! Excited to learn more from Tara Brach ❤️
"All of the light things about St. Pete wouldn’t exist without the heavy ones. They are inextricably intertwined."
This really hit me. To eliminate the heaviness would necessitate eliminating the joy and light, and I never, ever want to let that go.
I’m so glad it resonated, Amy. Sending you love.
I just want to tell you that I really enjoy your stories. Your writing has a sincere feel to it which many of us can relate to.
Thank you, Pennie! That's such a nice compliment!
You're very welcome.

Love you, Andi. I’m so sorry for all the heaviness you’ve had to carry lately. I hope lightness is just around the corner.
