I loved reading these two posts together. I often find that these weeks are connected-- that the struggle and learning of the lowest weeks can beget the peace and perspective of the highest.

Thank you, Leanne! I considered making it one post but I'm glad I experimented with turning it into two!

I love the contrast of these two posts. And it's so true - some weeks, it feels like everything is falling apart and nothing goes right, which is usually followed by a week where the antithesis happens. It takes time, but I've learned to not get too high or too low about things. To appreciate the good moments, while also knowing that nothing is guaranteed. Then, when I have a bad week, to have faith that it won't last. (Easier said than done.)

Yay to waking up before the alarm! I did that today and I feel much more energetic. 😀

Ohhh how I love this post… renewing my hope on a daily, reading beautifully written articles about love & grief & babies & mental health. This post reminds one how very Important it is to self love & self care of our own body & soul. Squeeze it in , whenever you can! My most peaceful, self loving moments I’ve had in 6 decades have been with Sara Raymond (mindful movement) and Adriene @ yoga with Adrienne. A amazing yoga guru I love. Even a 20 min sesh! It works, self care every way & time, anytime you can. Writing, Long Beach walks, exploring botanical gardens, waterfalls, hiking whatever you choose, it’s there, waiting for us. Love your column it speaks volumes…. Thank you

Amen to that. I feel like I'm riding the tilt-a-whirl at the fair some days/weeks. Honestly I know it's all perspective and perception. I used to say "if things don't look like you think they should, change the window you're looking out of." Be nice if I could take my own advice these days. That said, the best we all can do is just go with it and know tomorrow is another day and we all get a do-over.

I have loved these ‘some weeks’ two letters. Really resonate. Right now I am have a week of being ill and needing to accept all that comes with that.
