I love your newsletter! I recently quit my soul/life-sucking job to spend more time with my family, work on bettering my health and do more ministry work that I love, which also helps fill up my tank. But I am realizing that even with work that I love, I'm needing to take more frequent breaks. I want to appreciate this gift my husband has given me to let me quit the job and get "healthier."
Thank you for sharing your journey. A couple things. YOU reached out and listened to your intuitions and body/mind experience. Those who don't seek help, SUFFER alone. We are not born to suffer, no matter what our circumstances are or become..... we can overcome them. I am a huge advocate for self care/self love and professional therapy. When we put in the effort to help ourselves and heal...well.... you're 50% there already!....I am so very Proud of you Katie for loving yourself and your baby and partner enough to seek help. Post partum is a "real" hormonal/emotional shift. So is birthing a little human! I am even more happy that you are taking a break and allowing yourself to take time for Katie. Super important. I promise this too shall pass... it will. 7 years ago, I lost a brother to suicide. He didn't tell a soul about his pain. He didn't seek any other solutions. I am so glad you did. Love & Light to you and your beautiful family. xxx ~leelee
Thank you, Leelee. Your comment made me tear up! I appreciate the support, and I am so so sorry about your brother. Suicide is such a heavy loss to bear. ❤️
Just recently discovered your newsletter and enjoy your writing voice. Wishing you well during your time off. Glad you're prioritizing your mental health.
I totally get it. I have a mental health condition and have spent 5 long visits in the hospital. I have to prioritize my mental health when it comes to my job in order to keep myself okay and able to actually DO my job. Please take care and I look forward to seeing your newsletter down the road and to you feeling better.
Please know you have gone thru an awful lot. You deserve this time for you.
I’m so glad you are taking this time for yourself (and setting this example for your readers too). I hope it’s a restorative break. Thank you for all your honest courageous sharing.
💓 🌷 glad to hear that you are prioritizing your mental health. I wish our society could normalize this! 🙏🏻
Me too!

Good for you! And yes, even work you love requires breaks. Thanks for sharing!
