I feel sad for the families who will never hold those children or that lovely woman who was their teacher. I feel sad for the 300,000+ children who have experienced school shootings in the US and survived with no physical wounds. I feel sad for all the children who have to go through active shooter drills and wonder if they are going to die. My friend's son thinks about it during class at least once a week, "where would I hide?" He is SEVEN. He is sad because he is pretty sure it will happen. SEVEN.

The Sandy Hook kindergartners start High School this year and we have done nothing.

Texas passed a law that anyone can carry a concealed weapon without registration. The cops were following this recent killer and couldn't stop him.

Our politicians refuse to do ANYTHING to stop this. The second amendment calls for a well regulated militia. A well regulated militia doesn't kill children.

I believe this will continue and continue until the children who have been in those classrooms are the politicians in power.

I'm sorry that you had to ask your friend to get tested before he came over, and I'm sorry he did. What a shame the pandemic has ruined how you live your life and how that affects everyone around you.
