I love "live my worst life the best I can". Wow does that take the pressure off and open up to the small things. Yesterday I had a visit from the amorphous blob of anxiety I now call "Bob" so it wasn't fun. But I woke up sunny this morning and had so much fun sitting out by the lake photographing the water splashing off the rocks thanks to the stiff wind. It felt balmy at 29 after the last two days down near zero. And then I photographed the little bits of remaining ice and snow which I thought looked like a tiny winter fairy garden. Wishing you a little joy in your day.

Oh my goodness Katie, I needed this so much today/right now after just sending my babies off to daycare + school and lamenting over how awful life is right now after I've already been through enough awful things. Thanks for this perspective. I love the idea of living your worst life the best you can. Totally stealing that. xo

Remarkably relatable, but with snow instead of rain. On the days I feel like my 16-month-old son and I actually can get out, he's in a better mood, I'm in a better mood, he sleeps better, I sleep better.

It's a definite mental reset that can feel like the biggest lift of a day.

This is relatable 4 me. Useful advice.

Sometimes a rainy day isn't so bad. It can change my mood, yes. But sometimes it's alright to feel a little down. I get comfy & get things done inside. It's a shift in perspective. We don't always have to be "on." A little downtime is beneficial. Reflective.
