Here in the south, the warmer seasons arrive a bit earlier than everywhere else in the U.S. Daffodils bloom in February, pollen begins to coat everything in late March, and splash pads and pools open for business in May. I suppose it’s fitting, then, that for me, the showers of March gave way to April flowers — a month earlier than the old saying goes.
Those flowers were incredibly welcome after the stormy period I’d been in. And while I’m well aware that there are many more tough days and rainstorms ahead, I’m grateful to take a look back at this month and see how many bright spots there truly were.
